Diagnosis: Leukemia; April 11, 1988

I woke up at nine o’clock. I made breakfast for myself and Alex. Then I had a shower and got dressed.

After lunch I went out canvassing for the Cancer Society. I did the houses on Goldstream, but first I stopped at Tanya’s on Lostlake. She works afternoon shift a couple days a week so I thought I had better catch her before she went out.

Tanya invited me in for tea, I stayed there for about forty five minutes then I went to Goldstream. About half the people were in. I got home before three o’clock.

I started to make dinner around four o’clock. We had dinner around five o’clock.

I went back out canvassing at seven o’clock. I finished doing Lostlake and Goldstream then I came home.

There sure are a lot of dogs on gold stream and all really big dogs. One came after me and scared me.

I got home around eight thirty. I was glad to get it over with, I’m really not the right sort of person to do canvassing. I’m just not the outgoing type of person for it.

I got Alex ready for bed at nine o’clock. I watched TV and went to bed around eleven o’clock.
