Alex and I woke up at ten o’clock, we sure had a good sleep. Alex and I had breakfast then I had a shower and got dressed.
Charlie had gone to work this morning. Alex and I made shortbread, I rolled the dough out and cut the cookies out. Alex put the cookies on the cookie sheet. I think they were the best shortbread I’ve ever made and that’s saying a lot! I’ve always had a lot of trouble making shortbread but last year I found the trick of it in kneading it for quite awhile.
Then I did the dishes, tided up the house and did three loads of laundry.
After lunch Alex and I made Christmas decorations. By that time Charlie came home from work. We left before five o’clock to go out for dinner. We went to Shanghai and then drove around looking at the Christmas lights.
We watched TV when we came home. Alex got ready for bed at nine o’clock. I watched TV and went to bed at eleven o’clock.
