Diagnosis: Leukemia; February 14, 1988

It’s Valentine’s Day!

Alex woke me up at eight o’clock. He wanted to get dressed and have breakfast. He wanted hot cereal for breakfast.

I gave Alex his Valentine’s present. He said he wanted to get something for Pa for Valentine’s Day.

We went to the mall at noon. We bought Pa cashew nuts for Valentine’s and came home.

Shirley phoned around three o’clock they were at her in-laws and wondered if they could drop by. They came over shortly afterwards.

Charlie came home at four o’clock. We asked Shirley, Aaron and the kids to stay for dinner. We ate around six o’clock.

They left before eight o’clock.

I got Alex ready for bed and watched TV.

Alex had a blister on his arm and his arm looks like a burn. He says it’s really painful and that his bone hurts.

I went to bed at eleven o’clock.
