Diagnosis: Leukemia; March 17, 1988

It’s St. Patrick’s Day!

Alex woke up at seven thirty. He didn’t want to get dressed. I got him dressed then I gave him his breakfast. Alex told me he didn’t want to go to mini-sport today. He said they do too much running around. Last week he said he wanted to re-enroll, I can’t figure out what happened!

I cleaned the bathrooms, then I had a shower and got dressed.

We had lunch, Charlie and Alex had gone to get lunch form Yens.

After lunch I took Alex to his class, he finally agreed to go. After the class we went to Toy City, then we came home.

We played some games, then I tided up the house.

Shirley and the kids came at five o’clock. Brent and Aaron left to go swimming at five thirty.

We left at six o’clock for McDonald’s, Aaron and Brent met us there after swimming.

As soon as we got our food Alex said he had to go to the bathroom. Luckily Shirley and Monique were there so we could leave our food there. This is the third time he’s done this while we have been out.

While we were having dinner Monique was terrible. She acted like a little brat and Shirley just ignored it. She asked me if I did the same. I told her I couldn’t, that it really bothers me. I don’t think it’s right for people to let their children to continue to cry.

Alex and I went to the playroom. Shirley and Monique joined us later, then Aaron and Brent came.

At eight o’clock Shirley, Brent, Alex and I came home. Aaron and Monique went home. They stayed until nine o’clock.

I got Alex ready for bed. I had trouble getting him to get into his pajama's.

I went to bed after Alex was asleep.
