Alex went to Marty’s house after lunch. I picked him up at four o’clock.
Charlie brought home a take out of Chinese food for dinner.

Samantha ate at eight, eleven, two and six o’clock.
We invited Mom and Dad over for dinner. It’s Father’s Day today.
Alex and Samantha bought Charlie a sprayer gun that attaches to the hose.
We bought Dad a case for his Nintendo games. He was really happy with it, so I was glad.
They stayed until nine o’clock.

June 18, 1990
Samantha ate at eight, eleven, two and six o’clock.
I had to wake up early to listen to the radio. They announce whether or not they’ll have a sports day today. It’s been postponed from the 11th.
The announcer said ranch Park school would be having their sports day. It was a bit overcast but hopefully it won’t rain.
We met Mom and Dad at the school. Alex rode in the bike parade, I stayed with him while Charlie, Samantha, Mom and Dad went to find a seat.
Alex got a ribbon for being in the bike parade. The team captain came to get Alex then they gathered on the field.
There were nineteen stations with two rest stations included in the nineteen stations.
The stations had tug of war, needle in the haystack, dress up, egg carrying, tricycle race, water race, etc.
By the time they were about half way through Alex was pretty tired. It didn’t help that Lindsey was fighting with him. It was too bad one of his friends couldn’t have been on his team.
Near the end of the races Alex said he had enough and was going to sit down. I told him he couldn’t he had to stay with his team until the end. Alex wasn’t too happy to say the least.
Finally the station races were over, Alex’s team won first place! I thought that was really good. Alex was happy to get his ribbon.
Mom and Dad left after lunch. Alex decided he wanted to go in the running race.
Alex’s class had decided that Carter and Scott would win in the running race. So some of the kids didn’t want to go in it because of that. In face Patrick didn’t want to go to Sports day period because of that. It was too bad they made such a big deal over Carter and Steve winning the running race.
Anyways I went down with Alex to the race. I put him at the starting line while I went to the finish line. Charlie stayed with Samantha. She has been really good throughout the while time.
Alex ran a really good race in fact he came in 3rd place. I was really surprised and so was Alex! I found out later Carter won 1st place. I never found out who won 2nd place. I told Alex I was really proud of him. It sure made Alex’s day!
Wendy (Sabrynna’s mom) asked what Alex had gotten. It old her 3rd place and we were really proud of him. She said Sabrynna came in 1st place. I said that’s really good.
There weren’t too many races left then we all helped to clean up the grounds.
We came home around two o’clock. Charlie went to work while we went to Mom and Dad’s. Alex wanted to show them his ribbons. Mom asked us to stay for dinner.
We came home around eight o’clock.

Alex went to school today.
It’s Joan’s birthday today, she’s 37 years old today. She’s expecting her fourth child. History has repeated itself, Mom was pregnant with her fourth child at 37 as well.
