Diagnosis: Leukemia; May 1, 1988

Alex woke me up at seven o’clock. I made breakfast then I had a shower and got ready to go out.

We left after nine o’clock. Shirley wanted to show me this store she gets clothes at a low price. We get there at nine thirty but it wasn’t opened until noon. We went to a Dutch pancake house, we were there for a couple of hours. Then we went to Maynard’s, we had to wait half an hour before it opened. They didn’t have much stuff that I liked. They had a lot of clothes for the office or evening wear.

We got home at one thirty, Shirley left to go home. Alex said where did you go. He was mad that I had gone out.

Mom had phoned while I was out. I phoned her back and she invited us for dinner.

We went to get Alex’s haircut. Galena was surprised that Alex’s hair had grown so much. It sure looked cute. Galena cut it in a brush cut with a bit of a tail at the back.

We got to Mom and Dad’s before four o’clock. After dinner Alex watched a tape we had brought with us.

We came home at nine o’clock. Alex wasn’t very tired, he went to sleep around ten o’clock.

I went to bed as well, I was really tired from getting up so early.
