Diagnosis: Leukemia; June 19, 1988

I woke up at eight o’clock. Alex was still in bed, I started to make breakfast. Alex woke up and we had our breakfast.

Alex wished Charlie a Happy Father’s Day with a little coaxing from me.

After breakfast I had a shower and got dressed. I tided up the house and vacuumed it. Then I made a cake for our dessert for tonight.

Charlie and Alex left at two thirty for Lanie’s Birthday party.

I iced the birthday cake for Charlie then I got changed and did some last minute things around the house.

Mom and Dad arrived before four o’clock. We went down to look at the house on Mara Drive. They really like it, they’re making plans as to where everything will go.

When we came home I gave them something to drink. Then I made a salad, before I had finished Charlie and Alex came back form the party. Alex said he had a good time.

We had dinner around six o’clock. Charlie, Dad and Alex took the dogs for a walk.

They left at eight o’clock. Charlie helped me with the dishes.

Alex went to bed at nine o’clock. I finished cleaning up and went to bed at eleven o’clock.
