Alex woke me up at eight o’clock, telling me that he stayed in his own bed. Then he wanted to get his prize, he picked a book we had gotten at the toy sale. Alex asked me to read the book.
I had got Alex his breakfast and made bran muffins. Then I had a shower and got dressed.
I went to the mall at eleven o’clock. I was hoping they had some trucks still at the toy sale at Woodwards. Unfortunately they didn’t have any more but I was able to get Alex a small basketball hoop and a soft ball.
I got home at twelve o’clock, I had lunch when I got home.
Alex and Charlie were outside, Alex riding his bike and Charlie was polishing his car. Alex told me Kurt had been over and asked Alex to come over after lunch. We went after one o’clock, I phoned before I went over and she said send Alex over any time. I said okay we’ll come over now. Nora and I really don’t have much to talk about. I find it very hard talking to her, it’s really quite uncomfortable. I think in the future we should just send the kids back and forth.
I left before three o’clock as Nora’s other two boys were coming home from school. Alex wanted to stay, he didn’t want to go home yet. Nora said he could stay for awhile.
I came home and started to clean up the house, it sure was weird to have the house so quiet. The fire alarm at three thirty started to beep. I had opened the windows but I wouldn’t think that would cause any problems. I vacuumed the house and the fire alarm kept on beeping.
I went to Nora’s to get Alex. He was sure mad that he had to go home.
The fire alarm was still beeping, I decided to keep the windows closed. Once I did that the alarm stopped.
Alex wanted to go to the sleep but I told him he couldn’t as it was too late. He was really mad but there’s no way I’m having him up all night.
We had dinner after five o’clock and I couldn’t cook it fast enough for him. After dinner we went for a walk. Alex had a temper tantrum as he wanted to go down Westlake and I was going down Lostlake.
When we got home I gave him a bath, got him dressed and gave Alex a snack. After Alex had his snack he said he wanted to watch TV. At 7:30 p.m. Alex said he wanted to go to bed, I read him a story.
I wrote in the journal while I watched TV. I’m going to bed soon.

We went to the mall to buy Dad’s Christmas present. We came home and I had lunch. Charlie and Alex had lunch in the mall.
Charlie went outside to wash his car. I wrapped Mom and Dad’s Christmas presents, put away the dishes and got ready to go to Mom and Dad’s. We picked up a cake on the way there. We got there at three o’clock and had dinner at five o’clock. We left at eight o’clock. Alex was awake when we got home. He played for awhile then Charlie got him ready for bed. I woke up to hear Alex opening my desk drawer. I asked him what he was doing, he said he needed his scissors because the plastic is too hard. I didn’t have a clue what he was up to, so I got out of bed.
Alex had gotten a truck I had put away for Christmas and was trying to open the box. I told him he should have asked if he could have it first. I knew there was no way I could take it from him now.
I made my breakfast while Alex played. Then I got changed and started to clean the floors. Charlie was on his way out. Alex started to cry when Charlie told him he couldn’t go, but it ended up Charlie took him anyways.
I finished the floors, had a shower, got dressed, put away Alex’s toys, put back some of the things I had put in the living room so I could clean the floor, put the garage and newspapers in the garage and did the dishes.
At one o’clock we went to Lougheed mall, then we went to a couple of TV stores. We went to Chi-Chi’s for dinner and went to see the Chew’s afterwards. Edward said Jolene was okay now, but when we got there she said she still has bronchitis.
Robert sure is a little brat. He’s really rough and not very good with Monique who’s about 9 months old.
Alex and Robert were fighting over the bike. Robert wouldn’t let Alex ride it. Charlie told Robert to get off the bike and let Alex ride and Alex would give it back. This made Robert cry and when Alex gave his bike back Alex started to cry. By the time we left Alex was crying, screaming and kicking me.
Alex was really upset that Robert wouldn’t share any of his toys with him. In the car Alex took his seat belt off. I sat in the back seat with him and tried to calm him down. I held his hand told him he could have a new toy when we got home. After awhile Alex calmed down.
When we got home I gave Alex his toy. Alex went to bed around ten o’clock.

I tided up the house as I planned on vacuuming the house. Charlie wanted to go to Woodward’s to look at TV’s again. We left after ten o’clock. We had lunch at the Bay. We came home at 12:30 p.m.
I started vacuuming after we got home. I was half way through when Nora phoned and asked if Alex could come over to play with Kurt. We went over at 1:30 p.m.
Nora had to get William at 2:50 p.m. Kurt asked Alex if he could come over and play so the three of us came back to our house. Kurt stayed until four o’clock, when Nora came to get him.
Not long after they left Alex started to get mad. We went upstairs and we had dinner at five o’clock. We watched TV after dinner but Alex started to fall asleep. I told him we should go and play with his cars. This woke him up.
Alex sure eats a lot now, he had souffle at four o’clock then he ate dinner with me at five o’clock. He ate cereal when he had his medicine and he said he was still hungry.

Alex woke me up in the middle of the night, he wanted to get changed. I changed Alex’s clothes and we went back to bed. Alex wanted me to hold him when we went back to sleep.
I woke up at nine o’clock, had my breakfast, got Alex his breakfast, gave him his medicine and had a shower. I got ready to go out, I told Charlie I was going out by myself.
I left at ten o’clock, it was nice to go shopping my by self. I came home at noon I phoned Nora and asked if Kurt could come over today.
They came over at 1:30 p.m., Alex was really excited to see Kurt. Alex doesn’t play as well as he use to. Even with his friends he argues a lot.
Nora left at three o’clock, her other two boys were coming home from school. I told her Kurt could stay so the boys could play together longer. I knew if Kurt left at three o’clock Alex would be mad.
I started cooking dinner while they played.
Kurt went home at four o’clock. Alex has been complaining all day. We went for a walk after dinner, then we stayed outside. Alex rode his bike while I read the paper. He kept on riding his bike where I couldn’t see him. I told him to ride where I could see him but he kept on doing it. So I went inside and told him to come. Alex rode his bike really fast into the garage and said I’ll ride where you can see me come on out with me. We stayed out a bit longer than we came in.
Alex had his medicine and a snack. Charlie phoned and I asked him to tell Alex to have his bath. I had told Alex to have a bath earlier but he threw himself on the floor and he said he was mad.
After we got off the phone Alex had his bath. I got Alex ready for bed and told him to brush his teeth. He complained the whole time he was brushing his teeth.
I baked a cake for Kelly’s birthday tomorrow, Alex wants a cake. I did the dishes and watched TV. I wrote in the journal for half an hour. I’m going to bed soon.

Alex woke me up at seven o’clock, he wanted Kelly in his room. I put Kelly in his room but then Alex said he wanted to get dressed. Alex said come on Mama I want to get dressed. Charlie got up and got him dressed, I went back to sleep.
I got up at eight o’clock and had breakfast. Charlie was putting the blind up in the kitchen window.
At ten o’clock we went to the mall. We were surprised to see that there was a Hutch apparell beside London Drugs. We each bought a pair of pants.
Alex and I are having a birthday celebration for Kelly on Thursday, so I bought a cake tin and cake mixes.
We had lunch in the mall then we went home.
When we came home Alex wanted to dig in the garden. I told him he could do it later, and as usual he started to argue, scream and yell. I feel that I’ve had my limit of his rant and raving. I just can’t deal with him, I need a day to myself, but Charlie doesn’t understand that, he thinks my job at home is so easy. He doesn’t see what I really go through. It’s so different when there is only one parent there.
Charlie got him inside and Alex started complaining because I told him I was going to clean the walls. He said I can’t play by myself! Then he threw himself down on the floor and started to kick the wall.
I got changed and I asked Charlie to give Alex his medicine. As usual Charlie asked what medicine. I wish he would learn the schedule.
I cleaned the walls in the house and cleaned both bathrooms. I had a shower, got dressed and sat down and watched TV.
We had dinner at five o’clock. Before I started cooking Alex said he wanted Potato chips before he had his dinner. I said no, and he was absolutely furious. Alex started biting the box and the look on his face was pure anger. He looked so funny, it was hard not to laugh!
After dinner I told him we would go outside but I wanted him to pick up his toys first. It took him the longest time. Alex rode his bike outside while I swept out the garage. We came inside around seven o’clock. Even when we were outside he told me how he was going to ride his bike in the dirt and he was going to ride way down the street. When it told him not to do theses things he started to argue with me. I’m really quite sick of arguing with him all day long, it’s really getting ridiculous.
When we came in I gave Alex a bath and got him ready for bed. Alex was asleep by eight o’clock.
I did the dishes, my knitting and watched TV.

Alex came into bed in the middle of the night. Charlie told Alex at seven o’clock to go to the bathroom. This seemed to put him in a real rage. Alex went into the ensuite bathroom and Charlie went into the other bathroom. As soon as Alex realized this he ran into the other bathroom and said he had to go in that one. Charlie told him he had to wait, Alex fell to the floor and started screaming. Then Alex said he had to get dressed but I had to get him dressed. He’s been putting us against one another which is pretty hard. I’ve noticed it makes us both mad.
For instance if I give Alex his medicine, he’ll tell me Charlie has to do it. This morning when Charlie went to get him dressed he started screaming and hitting Charlie. Alex said I don’t want you Pa, I want Mama. I went and got Alex dressed then I went back to sleep. I was too tired to get up at seven o’clock.
Around nine o’clock Alex said he wanted to go shopping for groceries with Charlie. I said what did Pa say. Charlie said okay and they left.
I fell back to sleep and I woke up again at 10:40 a.m. I Must have been tired and I sure needed the extra sleep.
I got up and had my breakfast, I also helped them put away the groceries.
It sure bugs Charlie that the new neighbours leave the bathroom window open. He phoned around about a ready made blind. I found it rather weird that someone would open the bathroom window all day and night.
Charlie and Alex left for London Drugs. I had told Charlie earlier what time Alex and I had to be at the hospital.
I had a shower, got dressed, did my hair, my make-up and brushed my teeth. While I waited for them to come back I did the dishes, the laundry and cleaned up the house.
They arrived back at 12:42 p.m., we were suppose to leave at 12:45 p.m. Alex wanted to have some chicken before we left. Then he said that Pa had to come with him. He started screaming and crying then he threw himself down on the ground. This really make me mad. I really lost my cool, I had to leave him with Charlie, there was no reasoning with him.
We left for the hospital and we got there at 1:40 p.m. The nurses made a big fuss over Alex. Some of them hadn’t seen him for two months.
We waited awhile before Alex had his blood taken. I played a few games with Alex while we waited for the I.V. push. Alex and I went to the pharmacy and came back to the clinic before three o’clock. Alex had his I.V. push. Alex was really good, he didn’t move his arm at all. He didn’t cry, he said it hurt but that’s all. I was really proud of him.
When we left the clinic I told him I would buy him a prize for being so good. Alex wanted to go to London Drugs to buy something. He decided to buy a small car. We came home and I started to cook dinner. Alex didn’t have much for dinner, he said his stomach hurt.
After dinner Alex laid on our bed, watched TV and played with his cars.
I did the dishes and put the garbage and newspapers in the garage.
I gave Alex a bath, got him dressed and read him a story. Alex was asleep by eight o’clock.
I wrote in the journal for an hour. It’s nine o’clock, I’m going to watch TV for awhile and go to bed.

Alex woke me up at eight o’clock, he said he wanted to get dressed. I got him dressed and then we watched TV. I was feeling pretty tired I didn’t want to get up so early.
Charlie woke up at nine o’clock. I went and had my shower and got dressed. Afterwards I had breakfast.
Shirley phoned at ten o’clock wondering it it was a good time to get the boys together. We decided to meet at Playland at one thirty.
Alex and Brent were both pretty excited. The only thing I found was that they couldn’t agree on the same ride. Brent likes to go on the same ride over and over again. While Alex likes to go on different rides.
Monique went on a couple of rides with the boys. Shirley asked Brent if he would go on the rides with her and he said NO. Then Shirley asked Alex if he would go with her and Alex said sure I’ll go with her. Then Brent said I want to go too. When they were on the ride you could see that Brent was getting jealous. He pulled Monique closer to him so she was further away from Alex.
We stayed until five o’clock then we went to Yic’s in North Vancouver for dinner.
After dinner Aaron and Brent went back to Playland. Shirley and Monique came home with us.
There was no way that I was going back there. Aaron and Brent didn’t come back until ten thirty. Monique was pretty cranky by this time, she should have been asleep hours ago.
Alex and I went to sleep at eleven o’clock. Charlie had gone to bed earlier.

Alex woke me up at eight o’clock, he asked me to get him dressed. I watched TV until nine o’clock then I had a shower and got dressed.
Alex and I had breakfast, we got ready to go out. Charlie and Alex went to the bank. I finished getting ready and we all went out for Dim Sum. Afterwards we went to Pacific Centre mall. We came home at four o’clock, we decided we would go out for dinner. Alex started complaining, he said he wanted to play. I told him maybe I should get a babysitter if he wanted to stay home. This made him really mad and he started to hit me. He called me a few names.
We went to Boston Pizza for dinner, we got there at six thirty. Afterwards we went to Toy City. They were having a midnight madness sale. They didn’t have anything special on sale though.
Alex had a temper tantrum in the store because he wanted a new toy. I had just bought him something new yesterday with the family allowance cheque. So there was no way I was going to buy something again, Charlie would have a fit anyways!
Charlie went into a Pet store and left me with Alex screaming and kicking. I took him to the car so he would calm down. Just as I was opening the door he took off. I ran after him and brought him back to the car. He tried again and I grabbed him and I missed him and got a hold of his jacket. Alex started to cough like I was choking him. What a scene, I find it very upsetting when he acts like this. It’s hard to believe that children his age act like this. To me it seems more like the effects of the medicine.
We came home at eight thirty and I got Alex ready for bed. As usual he started complaining by this time I was really getting cranky. I really shouldn’t let him get me mad. It’s so frustrating when he does things on purpose to make me mad. Finally I got him ready for bed and he went to sleep.
I watched TV feeling totally frustrated. I wrote in the journal for about forty minutes I’m going to go to bed soon.

I woke up at eight o’clock, I was trying to get Alex his breakfast but he wanted cookies for breakfast. I told him then he wouldn’t have anything. He screamed and yelled but I walked away so he didn’t get the effect he wanted.
I made bran muffins, then I had a shower and got dressed. I had my breakfast, Alex wanted a muffin but he took two bites and said he didn’t want anymore.
We went to Port Moody recreation centre, I decided I would put Alex into a class. I couldn’t see not doing anything or at least Alex not being involved in something. Luckily the registration is being done these next few weeks. Then we went to the Library and a Chinese Restaurant in Port Moody for a take out.
We came home and had lunch. After lunch Charlie asked me to buy him a 6/49 ticket but Alex complained so much that he wanted to go too. I didn’t want to take him as he continually argues with me while we are in the mall.
Charlie said we should all go, so we did. Alex complained as usual, we didn’t stay long.
We came home at four o’clock, Alex wanted to have dinner. I heated up pizza for him. Charlie and I didn’t want to eat so early.
I did my knitting and watched TV. Shirley phoned before six o’clock and asked what I was doing. We planned to go out together since Charlie was home and would look after Alex.
We went to PJ’s for dinner, Shirley brought Monique along. She was pretty noisy, it was hard to keep her amused.
We came home and Shirley left shortly afterwards.
I got Alex to help me pick up his toys then I got him ready for bed. I had a hard time getting him to brush his teeth, he said he was hungry. I don’t fall for that trick anymore. If he doesn’t eat before it’s time for bed that’s too bad. He’s had all the time after dinner to do so.

Alex woke me up at nine o’clock. He said did you see Pa’s thumb? Charlie had hurt his thumb last night at work, they had to drill a hole in his thumb nail. He said it’s still quite painful.
Alex wanted to watch Mr Dressup on our TV since Charlie was already watching TV.
Charlie went to the doctor at 9:30 a.m. I had a shower and got dressed.
I didn’t do too much today I still don’t feel that good.
Alex and I went to the mall after lunch. Alex was naughty the minute we walked in, he loves to argue with me. I think since he’s gotten better he’s gotten bored. He was use to getting his energy out.
We came home at 2:30 p.m., Charlie and Alex watched TV. I started cooking dinner and we had dinner at five o’clock.
After dinner Alex and I played some games. Then I gave him a bath and got him ready for bed. Alex went to bed at seven o’clock.
I did the dishes and wrote in the journal for about an hour.

Alex woke me up at eight o’clock. I got him dressed and Charlie got up as well. I had a shower and got dressed. I didn’t have breakfast, I have a stomach ache. I tided the house, did Alex’s laundry, and did the dishes.
By that time it was time to get ready for Kurt’s birthday party.
Alex really enjoyed himself, most of the kids were too young for him. They were all around two years old. Alex and Kurt were the oldest. All the mothers were there, it gave me a chance to see the other mothers in the neighbourhood.
We left after one o’clock. Alex was excited when we came home. He ran to Charlie, and said see what I got Pa, a firebird. It sure sounded cute.
Alex had his medicine and watched TV the rest of the afternoon.
I wrote in the journal for about an hour. I watched TV for about half an hour then I started dinner. We had dinner at five o’clock, I gave Alex his medicine at dinner as he looked like he was going to fall asleep soon.

We left at one o’clock, we went to Gas Town. We hadn’t been for years, it was nice wandering through all the stores, some are a bit expensive.
I had forgotten to get a Grandparents Day card for Mom and Dad. We dropped by Mom and Dad’s after dinner. We left at nine o’clock, Charlie, Mom and Dad had been watching hockey. Canada vs. Russia but it went into overtime so we left.
Alex fell asleep on the way home, I put him into his bed. I did the dishes, tided up the house, ironed my shirt and wrapped Kurt’s birthday present.
I went to bed before twelve o’clock but Alex woke up crying. His leg was hurting. I think he did too much walking, running and jumping. I gave him two tempra pills and Charlie rubbed his legs. Alex fell asleep again and we went to bed as well.

They asked us to stay for dinner. We stayed until after eight o’clock and came home. My throat by this time was really hurting, I had been taking cough candies all day.

I woke up before ten o’clock, I still felt tired. I think I’m coming down with something.
I had some really strange dreams last night, I can’t remember what they were about but I woke up with a start a couple of times.
Alex came into bed last night sometime in the middle of the night.
I took Alex to the bathroom at six o’clock and we both went back to bed.
Alex had a shower this morning, we had breakfast and got ready to go to the doctors office. Alex wanted us both to go in the room. Dr. W picked Alex up and asked him how he was feeling. Alex told him he felt fine. Then Dr. W asked me how I was, I said okay. He said last time Charlie was in he got a little bit more updated. I gave him the maintenance sheet and the latest blood count printout. Dr. W took a copy of them. He checked Alex’s stomach to see if he could feel his spleen or liver. He said he couldn’t feel anything. He also checked Alex for a lump around his jaw line.
Dr. W said he wanted to see Alex every month, two weeks after he had been to the hospital. He said Alex looked pretty good for all the things he had been through.
We went to the park afterwards then got chicken from Kentucky Fried Chicken. Alex wanted a sundae from Dairy Queen. Then we came home and had lunch. After lunch Alex and I went to London Drugs to get our photo’s.
Charlie went to work before three o’clock, I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. Alex and I went outside, Alex rode his bike for awhile. Then he played in the dirt with his trucks.
We came inside and Alex had dinner. He listened to a Mickey Mouse record after dinner.
I gave Alex a bath and got him ready for bed. I read him a story and he was asleep by eight o’clock.
I watched a video, watered the lawn and did the dishes. It’s almost 9:30 p.m., I don’t know what I’ll do, read or watch TV. I’ll probably go to bed around eleven o’clock.

I had some really strange dreams last night, I can’t remember what they were about but I woke up with a start a couple of times.
Alex came into bed last night sometime in the middle of the night.
I took Alex to the bathroom at six o’clock and we both went back to bed.

I woke up at nine o’clock, I could of slept longer but Charlie was making so much noise I knew he wanted me to get up.
I had a shower, got dressed then I had breakfast. Charlie went out and came back at 10:30 a.m. I went out to the mall at eleven o’clock. Before I left Charlie said bye to Alex and Alex said bye Pa. I told them I’m going by myself. Alex kissed me good bye.
I when I came home, I had lunch. Charlie and Alex were outside cutting the lawn.
Alex was really cranky after lunch, he was ordering me around. He wouldn’t ask me properly for a drink. I was fed up with his attitude, so I told him he had to have a nap. He still has a cold so I guess that’s why he’s so cranky. Right now it’s really hard to know.
Alex slept until three thirty, Charlie went to work before three o’clock.
I watched TV and wrote in the journal while Alex had his nap.
I didn’t have dinner with Alex. I’m not feeling all that great, it’s the stress of everything that’s going on. Alex’s illness I find is very stressful, it’s something I can’t get out of my mind. Then when family problems occur and both sides tell me their sides, it puts a lot of pressure on me which nobody seems to realize. I’ll work it out, I’ll just feel sick over the next few days.
I had a snack at seven o’clock. Alex dropped a cup of coke on the floor just as I was going to clean it up some kid rang the doorbell. I didn’t bother opening the door as they always try to sell us a subscription. I continued to clean up the coke and he starts ringing it about four times. I went and opened the door but he was already on his bike. He thought it was a big joke, I slammed the door.
If I don’t have enough problems with some jerk ringing the doorbell. Give me a break!
I finished cleaning the carpet and wrote in the journal some more.
I gave Alex a bath, did the dishes and watered the hanging baskets outside. I got Alex ready for bed and told him if he picked up his toys I would read him a story. It took him about half an hour to do it. I read Alex a story and he went to sleep.
I wrote in the journal some more. I’m going to read then I’m going to go to bed. It’s now almost ten o’clock.

Alex woke me up at three or five o’clock. I’m not too sure. He wanted to get changed. I got him changed and we both went back to bed.
I woke up at ten o’clock, actually it was probably closer to eleven. I was surprised they let me sleep in.
I gave Alex his medicine then I had breakfast. Charlie and Alex went grocery shopping. I vacuumed the house and then had a shower.
Alex and Charlie came back, Alex fell asleep in our bed at 1:30 p.m.
I wrote in the journal for an hour or more.
Alex woke up at three thirty, he said he wanted Macaroni and Cheese for dinner. I started to make it, as he likes to eat dinner around four thirty.
Mom phoned at five o’clock, she was pretty upset at the way Blair acted. After I got off the phone I had dinner. After dinner we went outside and did some gardening.
We came in at seven thirty, I gave Alex a bath. I put Alex to bed at eight o’clock. I put Alex to bed early as he still has his cold and he’s been very difficult to handle.
I wrote in the journal for about an hour then I wrote a letter to Maureen. I read for awhile then I went to bed.

I woke up at eight o’clock, I had a shower and got dressed. This is the last day for the PNE, so we decided we would go. We left at ten o’clock. We went to the show home, the diving demonstration, then to Kids World. Alex had his face painted again, then we took Alex to Playland. It was really hot so we decided to go and have dinner. Alex fell asleep in the stroller, we had to wake him up as he hadn’t had his medicine; Methotrexiate. He was pretty cranky but he was also hungry. Not long after we started eating Alex said he had to go to the bathroom. This really made me cranky since I had asked him twice in the afternoon if he had to go.
We went back to Playland and let Alex go on any ride he wanted. We left at eight o’clock. Alex fell asleep on the way home, I put him into his bed.

I woke up at eight o’clock. I made waffles for breakfast for everyone. Then we all got ready to go out. Jay was playing in the tournament again. The tournament is out in Langley, we got there at noon. Alex saw another child riding a bike and wanted us to go home to get his. Most of the time we were there Alex complained. We just watched the one game, then we went home.
It seems to me that the parents were more interested in them winning then the kids. The parents seemed to be very pushy. It was really quite sad to see.
We got home around two o’clock, at three o’clock Alex and I went out to the mall. We got Kurt a birthday present, Alex is invited to his party on the 14th.
We came home at five o’clock, we had dinner after six o’clock. Alex had his medicine and went to bed around nine o’clock. I went to bed around eleven o’clock

I woke up at nine o’clock. Everyone was already up, Charlie, Blair and Paul were outside. I had breakfast and had to wait for the shower. I was beginning to wonder if I would be having a cold shower. Paul, Holly then Blair had a shower before I could get in.
We had to leave the house at 12:30 p.m. for the wedding. Charlie, Blair and Holly went out at eleven o’clock to buy a few things.
I started getting ready they came back at twelve o’clock. I forgot to hem Alex’s pants, which made Charlie cranky. Charlie decided he would do it so I finished getting ready.
Paul and Jay went to a Soccer Tournament that Jay was playing in. They left at 10:30 a.m.
We finally left at 12:45 p.m., we wondered if we would make it there on time. We got to Mom and Dad’s at 1:20 p.m. Blair pretty well ignored Joan, Mom and Dad. She’s mad at almost everyone except us as far as I know!
Jeff was late about fifteen minutes. It was quite a nice ceremony, Martina and Jeff left and we sat around.
Holly wanted to go to Oakridge, there was a special store she wanted to go to. Blair, Holly and I went there. We came back to Mom and Dad’s at 3:40 p.m., everyone else had left. All of us went up to the reception. It was at Jeff’s place which is Gran’s old house.
Gran and Poppy had always kept the house and the garden so nice. When we got there I couldn’t believe the condition of the house. It seemed like an old run down house. I felt that it wasn’t Gran and Poppy’s house that it was someone else’s. It created some bad feelings.
Jeff made a speech and told everyone to go get their food after the wedding party had gone up. There was a wide variety of food, it was all pretty good.
It was hard keeping an eye on Alex, he was all over the place and the other kids didn’t watch him. Holly came and took Alex after dinner, for awhile which was nice.
I had a terrible headache, a migraine coming on. Too much family tension I believe. I was also tired of running after Alex. We left around eight o’clock, I thanked Martina but I couldn’t find Jeff anywhere.
We came home and I had a bath and took some pills for my headache. After I got dressed I went outside to the deck. Blair, Paul and Jay came back, Holly had come home with us.
We watched TV then we all went to bed around eleven o’clock.

I woke up at nine o’clock, everyone else was already up.
Blair and Paul were outside smoking, they had asked me last night where they could smoke. They also said to be honest, I told them I preferred that they smoke outside.
Holly was meeting her friend at Coquiltam Centre mall at 10:30 a.m. We left for the mall at 10:15 a.m. Holly and her friend went shopping by themselves. We met back at the A&W and we had lunch. Alex was a lot of trouble, Paul said if we wanted we could go home. We left them at the mall and came home before two o’clock.
Charlie got ready for work and left before three o’clock. Alex fell asleep on the way home. He slept until five o’clock.
I made roast beef, roasted potatoes, salad and buns for dinner and cupcakes for dessert. We waited until six thirty but they hadn’t come back yet. Alex and I had dinner .
They came back at seven o’clock, I thought they would of at least phoned but that’s normal for them.
Blair phoned Mom and asked if she could have something of Gran’s. Mom told her she would give her the things she had bought Gran. After Blair got off the phone she was quite upset. I told her Mom would probably show her the things that were left. She said Mom doesn’t like her anyways so she wouldn’t get anything. With that Blair went outside and cried. Paul went out with her, I stayed inside I figured it was between them.
It’s too bad Blair and Mom can’t get along. They’re both stubborn and want the other one to make the first move.
We talked until one o’clock and then we went to bed.

Alex had fallen asleep after lunch. At three o’clock he was still asleep, I wanted to get him a pair of shoes for the wedding.
Alex woke up before four o’clock, we left right away. We went to Metrotown, Alex was really bad. He only wanted to do what he wanted to do. He continually complained the whole time we were there. We didn’t stay long and I told Alex if he didn’t stop acting so bad I wouldn’t take him out for dinner.
We went to McDonalds for dinner then we went to the mall to buy a card and wrapping paper.
We came home around seven o’clock. At eight o’clock Alex said he wanted to go to bed. I got him ready for bed but he didn’t fall asleep.

I got up at nine o’clock, had breakfast and got dressed. I cleaned the bathrooms then I had a shower.
I went out to the mall, I decided to keep the chopping board for myself. I bought Martina placements.
I came home and started to get ready to go. Mom invited Alex and myself for dinner. I couldn’t figure out what to wear. It took me about an hour then I left for Mom and Dad’s.
We had dinner at five o’clock then we got ready to go to the shower. We got there at seven o’clock. It seemed to me that we didn’t fit in with them. All of them live in the East part of Vancouver. It may seem a bit snobby but they don’t act, dress or even seem similar. Martina looks like she couldn’t have been born to the family, she seems so different.
We left at ten o’clock, Dad had looked after Alex. Mom said to Alex thank you for looking after Grandpa, was he any trouble? Alex looked quite puzzled he said no. Mom said well let me pay you for doing such a good job. Alex sure was pleased, we went home at ten thirty.
Alex fell asleep on the way home. I put him to bed. I went to bed after midnight.

Charlie wanted to go to the PNE, we left at 2:30 p.m. We got to the PNE after three o’clock.
We got Alex a day pass for the rides, I took pictures of him on some of the rides. We went and saw the acrobatics. Charlie wanted to see Wrestling, while he was doing that Alex and I went to the Kids World and Playland. We went and had dinner at nine o’clock. Alex and I saw the Chew’s. We still had to meet Charlie so we left them and went to look for him.
The three of us went back to Playland, we met the Chew’s again. Alex and Carrie went on a lot of the rides together, Alex really enjoyed going on the rides with his friend.

I phoned Mom to tell her what I got and she said oh didn’t I tell you I bought that as a engagement present for them. Was I upset or what! I could of screamed, I had just spent two days looking and now I had to take it back.
We left the PNE at eleven thirty. Alex fell asleep on the way home. I put him into his bed and I went to bed myself.
