Diagnosis: Leukemia; September 2, 1987

I got up at nine o’clock, had breakfast and got dressed. I cleaned the bathrooms then I had a shower.

I went out to the mall, I decided to keep the chopping board for myself. I bought Martina placements.

I came home and started to get ready to go. Mom invited Alex and myself for dinner. I couldn’t figure out what to wear. It took me about an hour then I left for Mom and Dad’s.

We had dinner at five o’clock then we got ready to go to the shower. We got there at seven o’clock. It seemed to me that we didn’t fit in with them. All of them live in the East part of Vancouver. It may seem a bit snobby but they don’t act, dress or even seem similar. Martina looks like she couldn’t have been born to the family, she seems so different.

We left at ten o’clock, Dad had looked after Alex. Mom said to Alex thank you for looking after Grandpa, was he any trouble? Alex looked quite puzzled he said no. Mom said well let me pay you for doing such a good job. Alex sure was pleased, we went home at ten thirty.

Alex fell asleep on the way home. I put him to bed. I went to bed after midnight.
