Diagnosis: Leukemia; November 10, 1989

Samantha woke up at two o’clock. Charlie fed her then I had to feed her again. I hadn’t expressed enough milk.

Samantha woke up again at six forty five, after I had put her back to her crib I had a shower, got dressed and had my breakfast.

I then expressed my milk and sterilized a bottle. After that I collected the garbage, did the laundry and did the dishes.

By that time Samantha woke up. I gave her a bath and fed her. Alex had a bath about the same time.

Charlie came home from shopping, he bought barbequed chicken which we had for lunch.

I asked Alex to get ready for school. Alex said he had to have lunch which he already had. Alex started to cry. He had canned pineapple then he got ready for school.

When I came back from taking Alex to school I wrote in the journal, put away the laundry and fed Samantha at one fifteen.

Samantha and I went to get Alex from school then we went to McDonald’s. Samantha was really good, she hardly cried at all.

We got home just after four o’clock. I fed Samantha, changed her diaper, fed her again and put her back to her crib.

Alex put away his toys then watched Cosby. Alex didn’t go to bed until nine o’clock.

I fed Samantha at eight thirty and again at ten o’clock. I went to bed after Samantha was in bed.
