Samantha was still asleep when Alex woke me up at seven thirty. Alex said he was going to have a shower. I woke Samantha up for her feeding.
I put Samantha into the playpen while I had my breakfast. Then I had a shower and got dressed. By that time it was time to feed Samantha again. I was going to put Sam on our bed while I did my hair but she was complaining so I put her to bed. Samantha laid there and talked away looking at the elephants or musical bird. She rolled over onto her back so I put her in the middle. There isn’t much point in putting her on her stomach as she rolls right back.
We got ready to go out. We took Alex to Carter’s house for his birthday party. While we were there we saw a few of the children in Alex’s kindergarten class.
We went first to Fanny’s Fabrics to buy the snap on buttons. One of Alex’s jeans needs to be replaced. It had rusted and won’t snap. Then we walked in the mall until it was time to get Alex. We saw Orion and Jada in the mall. Jada said Christine had come over and taken them to the mall. I said where are they? She said we split up. I said that was a good idea, eh? Jada said yes! I said Did Christine have any trouble getting here or did she get lost? Jada said she got lost. I said has she ever been to Coquitlam? Jada said no. I said no wonder then. I said well see you later. Orion had walked right passed us. Whether or not he saw us I don’t know. I said to Charlie if Orion saw us he would probably walk on by anyways. Orion reminds me a lot of Jeff. Orion looks very rebellious just like Jeff was during his teenage years.
When we went to get Alex a lot of people were already there picking up their children.
When we came home Alex went outside to play. He changed out of his party clothes first.
I fed Samantha then we came upstairs. I asked Alex to come in to have cough medicine. Rick was crying when I went. Alex said Rick went down to the bay into someone’s backyard. I dragged him out of there and now Rick is saying bad words. Lola took him into the house.
I went to get Alex’s bike. Lola said she washed Rick’s mouth out with soap. She said she doesn’t know what to do with him. Alex grabbed his bike from me which he said he didn’t want to bring in!
Charlie went to get Chinese food for dinner. I had put Samantha into her crib. I was surprised that she went to sleep so fast.
We ate dinner at five thirty. Alex didn’t eat very much, he was coughing something terrible. Alex wanted to go out again but I said no. I didn’t want him to get any sicker. Alex kept on asking but the answer was still no.
I fed Samantha at six thirty. It’s now eight thirty, I’ve been writing in the journal for an hour now. One more feeding for Samantha then we’ll go to bed.
