I woke up at nine o’clock. Charlie had already gone grocery shopping.
I made pancakes for breakfast, Alex and I ate some. Charlie still wasn’t back yet. I didn’t’ use the whole batter, I saved the rest for tomorrow. I had a shower and got dressed. By that time Charlie had come back from grocery shopping.
Mom phoned to tell us Dad was home now. I said are you going grocery shopping. Mom said no. I said why? Then she said very quietly Dad’s not too good. He sobbed and sobbed when I got him home.
Mom phoned back later to ask if one of us was going shopping. I said I didn’t know, why? Mom said she needed one dozen oranges and vanilla ice cream. Mom said she wanted to start Dad on milk shakes to fatten him up.
I asked Charlie if he could go I didn’t feel up to going. Kurt was over playing with Alex anyways.
Kurt went home at noon. Charlie came home soon afterwards.
After lunch Kurt phoned to ask if he could come over to Alex’s house again. I told Alex he could go over to Kurt’s house instead. It seems that Kurt comes over more.
We went out at two o’clock. I had phoned the Andrew’s to send Alex home.
We went to the new mall downtown that’s connected to Pacific Centre. I had to have something to eat right away. Alex hadn’t had lunch so he had something as well. We didn’t stay very long, it was pretty crowded. Anyways I can’t walk around too long, I started to feel sick.
After going for a drive, we went to a Won Ton House for dinner. It was too early really to have dinner. We didn’t eat much but took the rest home. We stopped at Mom and Dad’s for awhile.
Dad hugged me and held onto me for quite awhile. He seemed to be quite emotional but he has been through a lot and with all the medicine he was taking it’s no wonder. Dad has lost a lot of weight he looks quite thin.
We didn’t stay too long we got home at nine o’clock. Alex played for awhile and got ready for bed when I told him to. I went to bed at ten o’clock.
