Diagnosis: Leukemia; April 14, 1990

Samantha woke up at eight o’clock. Charlie decided we’re going to Bellingham. We left after Samantha’s second feeding.

This time it didn’t take very long to get down and there wasn’t any wait at the border. We went by highway #1 and turned off at #13 which led us directly to the border. After the border we drove straight until the sign for Bellis Fair Mall.

Charlie bought a pair of pants but I couldn’t find anything. Charlie bought Alex a Leonardo suit for his hospital visit. When Alex saw it he wanted it but he only had $3.00. I asked Charlie if he was planning on giving Alex any money. Charlie said no. Alex started to cry. He sure gets upset easily. It was then Charlie decided to buy it for a hospital prize.

I fed Samantha in the washroom. It was the only place they had unfortunately. Charlie makes a big deal if I try to fed Samantha in public!

We left around four o’clock. At the border we were asked how much we spent.. Charlie said $35 and the customs officer said okay. That really surprised us both.

We got home around five o’clock. I fed Samantha while Charlie phoned for a take out.

After dinner I rested, I found it pretty tiring. I phoned Mom to let her know we didn’t go to Gibsons.

Alex went to bed at ten o’clock. I went to bed after feeding Samantha.
