Samantha woke up at four o’clock, she was lying on her back. I put her back on her tummy and gave her her soother. Sam went back to sleep again.
I woke up at eight o’clock. Samantha was still asleep, so I had a shower and got dressed. By that time Samantha was awake.
I’m rather concerned about Sam. She keeps on bringing up milk, it’s a wonder she keeps anything down.
After we picked Alex from school we went to the doctors. I asked Dr. C why Alex’s counts had gone up so much. She said it could be that Alex has a virus which will make his counts go way up.
After Dr. C had checked Alex she checked Samantha. Sam has grown, she’s now 26”, her weight isn’t very good it’s only gone up ½ an ounce. Mind you it went form 10.11 ½ pounds to 10.7 pounds then back to 10.12 pounds today. Dr. C said it might be because Samantha had been sick last month. I told her that Sam is bringing up milk in her crib. Dr. C said to keep Samantha upright after her feeding. The tube to the stomach is quite lax at times but will get better later on. Dr. C said she wants to see her in two weeks to check her weight.
We went to London Drugs to buy Samantha cereal, Dr. C said she could start on cereal. We came home and Charlie was already home.
Charlie started cooking dinner and I finished it.
At Samantha’s next feeding I gave her cereal. She cried while I was trying to get her to eat. Later I read it’s better to give them cereal after they have their milk until they are use to it. Samantha shuttered when I first gave it to her. Alex was trying to help but unfortunately it just made matters worse. Sam just started crying more. I ended up not giving her too much. It was rather discouraging as it seemed to be pretty easy when Alex started on cereal.
We watched TV after dinner. Alex went to bed at nine o’clock. I’m having quite a time getting Alex to go to bed on time. It’s eight, nine or ten o’clock before he goes. Alex thinks Samantha should go to bed first but it doesn’t always work out that way.
I went to bed after Samantha had her feeding and had gone to sleep.
