Diagnosis: Leukemia; April 22, 1990

Samantha woke up at nine o’clock. That sure was nice for me.

At the second feeding I gave her cereal. Marla’s idea of giving it to her on my finger is working so far. Samantha still has a problem getting the food to the back of her mouth. I still think she’s not old enough or her mouth isn’t mature enough yet.

The morning sure went by quickly with feeding Sam, having a shower, getting ready, making bottles and feeding her again.

We got to Mom and Dad’s around noon. I told Mom I didn’t know if Samantha would take the bottle as it’s formula.

We got to the theatre at twelve fifty. Charlie said someone had said the box office opens at one o’clock. It actually didn’t open until one fifteen. I sat in the car for awhile until it opened.

I sure had a time getting water. They won’t give it to you in a large cup I was told the cups cost $.50 that’s the costs is when you buy pop and the pop is free! She said I could have two small cups of water. It makes no sense to me!

Alex really enjoyed the movie, her definitely didn’t fall asleep. Even Charlie didn’t fall asleep, totally amazing. Alex said totally amazing dude! I thought the movie was really good, I quite enjoyed it but I usually like children’s movies.

Mom was feeding Samantha when we got there. Sam cried when she heard my voice. Mom said she was laughing only a few minutes ago. She said Samantha was only gumming the nipple and not drinking any of it. I tried but I had the Sam problem. At least it gave Alex a chance to feed her like he has been wanting to for some time now.

Mom invited us to stay for dinner. After dinner I fed Samantha.

We came home at nine o’clock. I had fed Samantha before we left so, I put her in her crib when we got home.

Alex and I had our snacks then we went to bed.
