Samantha woke up at five o’clock but I gave her her soother and she went back to sleep. Sam woke up again at six thirty this time she wouldn’t take her soother.
After I had fed Sam I made breakfast and did the dishes while she was in the swing.
When Sam went back to bed I had a shower and got dressed.
Marla phoned while I was cleaning the bathtub. She said Lanie has come down with the chickenpox. They first noticed one spot Saturday night then this morning she had quite a few spots on her torso. Marla felt quite badly but there isn’t much we can do.
I phoned the hospital and talked to Dr. Ch, she said because Lanie came down with it on Saturday night she wouldn’t be contagious until Thursday night. So Alex would be okay and wouldn’t need the chickenpox vaccination.
Of course when I told Charlie he said Alex shouldn’t have played with Lanie. I said then Alex shouldn’t go to school since chickenpox is in the school Charlie said he didn’t know that. I said I told you about the case on Friday. Charlie said he didn’t remember.
The doctor said Alex should go to school or else he would miss a lot of school.
In the afternoon I went to Mom and Dad’s. I brought over the two playpens, two boxes of pictures, pillows and a sleeping bag. We ate dinner at five thirty. Samantha didn’t wake up at eight o’clock like she usually does, so I woke her up at ten o’clock.
Alex had gone to bed at nine o’clock. I went to bed after Sam had gone to bed.
