Diagnosis: Leukemia; April 16, 1990

Samantha woke up at eight o’clock. After her second feeding we went to Sek Kee for Dim Sum. They have a lot of variety which is good. Usually restaurants only have a few varieties.

We went to the mall, to see if we could return the stroller. I found it very difficult to steer, it’s getting harder and harder to lock when it’s open, and it’s becoming out of alignment. We didn’t have any trouble exchanging. We decided on a stroller which was more expensive but it’s so much easier to control.

I bought a pair of shoes and a t-shirt. Alex pestered us to go to the arcade. Charlie and Alex went while Sam and I walked around. I was rather annoyed they took so long to come back.

When we got home I fed Samantha and put her down for a nap.

Charlie worked outside edging the driveway while I started dinner. We ate dinner before six o’clock. Alex has been playing outside most of the time. Wanda came to the door while we were eating dinner. Alex told her he would be out after dinner. I told Alex he could go out in fifteen minutes after he had finished. He complained they would be gone by then. I said that’s too bad, I want you to rest after dinner. Alex was so upset he started to cry. He just doesn’t’ understand that he needs to rest more than the average child.

Alex came in at seven thirty. He had his snack and went to bed.

I went to bed after feeding Samantha.
