Samantha woke up for her feeding at seven o’clock. She still feels pretty warm. After she had her feeding, I took her temperature it’s 38.15C.
At nine o’clock I phoned the doctors office. I was able to get an appointment for 11:50 a.m.
I put Samantha to bed, made our beds and did the dishes. Then I had a shower and got dressed.
At eleven o’clock Alex still wasn’t awake, so I woke him up. His temperature is 39.05C it sure is hard having them both sick at the same time and having temperatures. Alex wants me to hold him. He told Samantha to go get her own Mama that this is his Mama. I told him he has to share me with Samantha. Alex said no way.
We saw Dr. C, first of all I told her Dad’s PT level is 22. She said it wasn’t very good and it should be monitored. I told her Dad has been taking vitamin pills. She said tell him to stop taking them, the vitamins change the PT level especially vitamin C.
I told Dr. C both children have a temperature. She asked if they have any other symptoms. I said Alex had a sore throat, running nose, a cough and a stomach ache. Samantha has a cough and she threw up this morning.
After Dr. C had checked them both over she said they have a viral infection and both of their chests are clear. If they have a temperature still tomorrow to bring them back so she can re-evaluate them both.
Dr. C said Samantha can have 60ml of Tempra. She doesn’t weigh enough for 80ml but she’s older than what the 40 ml’s is for.
We came home after we had taken the mail from Mom and Dad’s. Samantha had eaten at the doctors office so I was able to put her back to her crib.
Alex laid down on the couch downstairs, he fell asleep while watching TV.
Samantha woke up at two o’clock for her feeding. Her temperature is still quite high 38.17C at three o’clock. She now has a runny nose. I put her back to bed before four o’clock.
By the time Charlie came home I had really had it. It’s been a difficult day. I feel like I’ve been pulled from one child to the other. Then Charlie says so what’s for dinner. I told him I’ve had a rough day. Charlie said so you still have to eat. We had leftovers for dinner.
Samantha woke up at six thirty for her feeding and went back to bed shortly afterwards. Her temperature is 38.04C, I gave her Tempera before she went back to bed.
I got Alex ready for bed at eight thirty. He actually wanted to go to bed, so you know he must be tired.
Samantha does tend to wake up occasionally in between the time I put her to bed and her feedings. So it isn’t like she sleeps straight through.
Samantha woke up again at nine o’clock. She’s back to having five feedings a day. That should help to put some weight on her.
Samantha was in bed by ten o’clock as was myself.
