I stayed up until 1 a.m. this morning to give Alex his medicine, he had his last medicine at 7 p.m. I went to bed and got up at 6:30 a.m. to give Alex his medicine. Alex asked Charlie to come and hold him.
Alex came into bed with me, he said he couldn’t sleep in his bed it’s too lumpy. Charlie went into Alex’s bed. Alex woke me up after ten o’clock. I could hardly keep my eyes open. I felt like I could sleep for a few more hours but Alex was determined I was to get out of bed.
Alex wanted a cheese bun for breakfast and I had waffles.
Charlie had gone to Lumberland and bought two doors for the rooms downstairs. One for the laundry and the other for the bathroom.
I had a shower and got dressed. We left before one o’clock, and picked up Mom’s birthday cake. We got to Mom and Dad’s after two o’clock.
At three o’clock Alex threw up, Dad had given him some lemonade and Dad thinks after tasting it himself later that it was bad. We had dinner around five o’clock and had birthday cake for dessert. Alex had diarrhea shortly after dinner. We left around nine o’clock and got home before ten o’clock.
I had a bath, I felt like I was going to fall asleep, so the bath helped me revive.
I was just starting to write in the journal when Shirley dropped by. I was in my bathrobe, so I went to change while Charlie answered the door. Shirley left around midnight and I then woke Alex up to give him his medicine. He didn’t want it at all. Alex had only been asleep for a few hours. It’s pretty difficult for him to take his medicine when he’s half asleep.
Charlie and Alex went to bed. I wrote in the journal for about fifteen minutes. I’m going to try and put Alex back into his own bed. It’s 12:30 a.m. and I going to go to bed.
