Leukemia: Diagnosis; July 4, 1987

I gave Alex his medicine at midnight and 6:40 a.m. I must have been really tired because I didn’t hear the alarm go off. I woke up at 6:35 a.m. Alex came into bed with me, Charlie went into Alex’s bed. Alex and I slept until 11:30 a.m.

Mom phoned to tell us Geordie, their Yorkshire Terrier had been sick last night. I think they put too much flea stuff on him.

Alex and I had breakfast and then got dressed.

I went out in the afternoon to buy Kelly dog food. I bought Alex a car and a game. I came home around four o’clock.

Charlie went and bought a take out from Sek Kee. We had dinner around five o’clock. After dinner I went downstairs and swept the floor and moved some of the stuff. Charlie had been working on the drywall this afternoon and he’s ready to do the frame for the laundry room.

Alex and I had a snack and watched TV. Alex played for awhile and I gave him a bath at eight o’clock. I read Alex a story and he went to bed after nine o’clock. Alex played with his new car in bed. He was asleep before ten o’clock.

I read for awhile then I wrote in the journal for about half an hour.
