Diagnosis: Leukemia; October 25, 1989

Samantha had a feeding at one thirty, four o’clock and seven o’clock this morning.

After Samantha’s seven o’clock feeding I had a shower, got dressed and had my breakfast. I tided up the house and phoned Mom. I asked her if she could come up and look after Samantha. I had to go to Save on Foods. I said I thought Samantha wouldn’t wake up until at least ten o’clock. Mom said she had to have a shower and wash her hair but she would be up soon. I don’t think she was too please about it.

Mom came at nine o’clock. Alex was in the shower when I left. I went to Save on Foods and Safeway and came home.

Mom said Samantha didn’t make any noise while I was gone. Mom went home. She hadn’t gone long when Samantha woke up for her feeding.

After I had fed Samantha and put her in her crib I phoned Morgan. I asked her if she would be able to take Alex to school and bring him home. She said everyday? I said no just for today. She said yes she world be able to do it today. Some days she doesn’t pick Patrick up when he goes so someone else’s house. Morgan said she would come to our house to pick Alex up. Morgan phoned back at noon, she asked if Alex would like to come to their house after school. I said sure that would be really nice. Morgan said she knows she needed a nap in the afternoon. I said I felt I need a nap today. Morgan said she would phone when she sends Alex home. I said okay and thanks.

I got Alex to get ready for school and to pick out what kind of snack he wants to bring.

Morgan came to pick Alex up. I had my lunch and watched TV. Samantha had her feeding at one thirty. After I had put her back into her crib, I had a nap. I slept until four o’clock when Charlie came home.

I went to Super Valu and when I came home Alex had come home from Morgan’s.

We ate dinner at six o’clock. I fed Samantha before we had dinner. After dinner I rested until it was time to feed Samantha again.

Alex went to bed at eight o’clock. I fed Samantha at nine thirty and went to bed.
