Diagnosis: Leukemia; October 29, 1989

Samantha ate at two, for and seven o’clock. Dad was up not longer after I got up to fed Sam at seven o’clock. It’s rather strange living with Mom and Dad again. I never realized how much Mom does for Dad. It’s just not something I would do for Charlie. I feel we’re equal and there is no need for the woman to be doing so many things for her husband.

We had breakfast together which was nice.

Joan and I went out to the mall after lunch I wanted to get something to wear. I want to wear something other than maternity clothes but I can’t find my regular clothes. They must be in the garage somewhere!

Joan and the kids left around four o’clock. Mom cried then Joan cried then they both cried, what a pair!

We ate dinner at five o’clock. After dinner I had a nap, I can’t believe how tired I am. I seem to be so much more tired than after having Alex. The only difference of course is that I’m breast feeding.

I fed Samantha at seven o’clock and again at eleven thirty. Then I went to bed.
