Diagnosis: Leukemia; October 7, 1989

I woke up at eight thirty. I had a shower, got dressed and had my breakfast.

Charlie started to pack up the spare room. Alex had to help so we would know which things he didn’t want to still use. Charlie set up the crib after he had packed most of the stuff.

Mom came by around noon. She said Dad was working on the basement. Mom had been sewing but she was having trouble with it. She had bought it in June but has had trouble with the sewing machine for quite awhile.

Mom took by blood pressure it’s 120/80. Mom didn’t stay very long.

In the afternoon we went to the mall. We bought Alex a new pair of runners. I looked for a nursing bra but couldn’t find one.

We came home around three o’clock. Alex phoned Kurt, he came over. They kept on coming into the living room. I told them to play in Alex’s room. I think they just wanted to bug me. Not a very good time for me. Usually at the end of my pregnancy I get very impatient.

Charlie went out to buy Chinese food, we had to find a place that doesn’t have MSG in their food.

Kurt went home at five forty five. Alex said his Mom phoned and told Alex to send him home.

We ate dinner at six o’clock. After dinner we watched tv. I put away Alex’s toys in his room. Charlie had taken them from the spare room. Normally I wouldn’t have done it considering my condition but Alex isn’t feeling good. Alex put away the toys in the living room and kitchen.

Alex went to bed at nine o’clock. I had my snack and went to bed as well.
