I woke up at seven o’clock this morning. We have to be at school at nine thirty this morning.
I had a shower, got dressed and had breakfast. I woke Alex up at eight o’clock. He had breakfast, a shower and got dressed. Alex is really excited about going to school.
We got to the school at nine thirty. The morning class was just leaving. Alex went to play with the other kids while I waited to talk to the teacher. The teachers name is Mrs. Wall. I told her that Alex may not be coming tomorrow afternoon as he has to go to Children’s’ Hospital tomorrow morning. I explained to her that Alex’s counts are low right now and it would be up to the doctor whether or not he should go to school. Mrs. Wall said she remembered me telling her about Alex’s condition.
Mrs. Wall explained about Kindergarten. The Children wouldn’t need their snacks until the 18th since they’re only there for an hour. The children should bring their shoes on the next day. Their summer memories poster could be brought later on.
We left at ten o’clock. I was exhausted by the time we got home. I rested for awhile then we had lunch and got ready to go. I took Alex to Mom and Dad’s while I went to royal Columbian Hospital.
There were quite a few people waiting. First of all I thought they were all waiting for the nurse but they were waiting to go in for the non stress test.
I saw Ann first, she said my blood sugar levels looked good. I told her I was having Charley horses. She said to talk to Mary about them.
Then I saw a doctor who I can’t remember her name, she’s taking over for Dr. B. I also told her about my Charley horses. The doctor told me to talk to Mary.
So I went to talk to Mary, when I told her about having Charley horses. She said she couldn’t increase my milk intake anymore. The only time to increase it was in the middle of the night. She said but only if you’re up. Mary said to check with my doctor about calcium supplements.
Then I had my non stress tests. I sat in a bed chair, so it’s quite comfortable. Around my stomach the nurse strapped a Doppler. The nurse explained how the machine works. The one side shows the baby’s heartbeat and the other side shows a contraction. Every time the baby moves I have to push a button which shows on the contraction side.
The nurse said I had two contraction while I was there. The baby moved at least ten times. The woman beside me came in first but was still there when I left. She kept on saying to the nurse that the baby must be asleep.
I got to Mom and Dad’s at three o’clock. We left at four o’clock. Charlie was already home form work when we got home.
We ate dinner at five thirty. After dinner we watched tv. Alex went to bed at eight o’clock.
I watched tv and went to bed at eleven o’clock.
