I woke up at eight o’clock. Alex had woken up and was putting his turtles in a McDonald’s bag. I had breakfast first then I had a shower and got dressed.
Alex had gotten dressed already and was watching tv. Alex had breakfast at nine o’clock. He wanted to have lunch right away but Charlie told him to wait awhile.
Mom phoned while Alex was having breakfast. She said she took Jeff’s blood for the diabetic test. Before dinner it was 3.0 and after dinner it was 14.0. Jeff didn’t know that was a bad number to have. Mom explained to him he had better get on a diabetic diet right away. That 14.0 was an unacceptable number to have. Jeff’s foot is still infected which is probably due to his diabetes.
In the morning I spent it tiding up the house. You never know when someone might want to show the house.
After lunch we had planned to go out but Lindsey from Royal LePage called. He came at two thirty, he told his clients that Mariner Way would be expanded to four lanes. I’m sure that turned them off.
We went to the bank, BCAA and then we went to Lions Park. Alex had fallen asleep so he was surprised when we got to the park. Alex enjoyed himself at the park, he went on everything.
We picked up fish and chips and came home. We had an early dinner. Unfortunately I forgot to have my afternoon snack. I didn’t feel very good probably a lack of food.
After dinner Charlie cut the grass. I did a bit of gardening and came in.
I’ve been taking Alex’s temperature throughout the day. It’s been normal or abnormal. It sure is difficult not know what’s wrong with Alex. It says in the hospital literature that a low ANC count can have a temperature, mouth sores, tiredness, etc. Alex did have mouth sores but he’s been rinsing with mouth wash and it’s gone now.
Alex got ready for bed t eight o’clock. He said he wants to sleep in our room. I told him it would be for one more night then he would have to sleep in his room. The paint smell is pretty well gone now. It sure takes a long time to go away.
I’m writing in the journal. It’s almost nine o’clock, I’m going to watch tv, have my snack and go to bed.
