I woke up at eight thirty. I had a shower, got dressed and had breakfast.
After breakfast I tided up the house. That’s all I ever seem to do. We have to keep the house neat and clean to be able to sell it.
Nance from Multiple Realty phoned last night. She said she has a client whom she wants to show the house, at four thirty today.
I let Alex have all his toys out until a half hour before they came. It makes it so much easier and he doesn’t complain!
Charlie came home at four o’clock. I told him to hurry up and have a shower as they would be here soon.
They arrived just after four thirty. The one guy is from down the block. It sort of made us wonder why he was looking.
We took Alex to the drive through at McDonald’s. I don’t know why he likes eating there, when he eats hardly anything at all.
Then we went to the mall, Alex and Charlie waited in the car. I went to buy Alex a prize and Kurt his present.
I had talked to Dr. S this afternoon. She said the bone marrow test shows immature cells. She asked me when Alex had his chemotherapy last. I told her the date which I couldn’t figure out, don’t they look at the chart. She said the recovery rate for the bone marrow cells is two weeks after they finish taking prednisone. She didn’t say Alex had the bone marrow too early but when I figured out when he finished his prednisone it doesn’t work out right. Alex finished his prednisone on the 25th, so two weeks from the 26th would be the 9th or 10th of September. That makes a difference of three or four days.
Dr. S said Alex cannot go to school, go to public places and he can’t go to Kurt’s party.
She also said if Alex’s counts weren’t up he would have to have another bone marrow test. They wouldn’t be able to do it for another two weeks. For some reason they can’t do them a week apart.
I asked her what it meant by immature cells. Dr. S said the immature cells could be cells recovering from chemo or they could be blast cells. Blast cells are Leukemia or cancer cells. She said at this time it’s difficult to distinguish between the two.
When I told Alex what the doctor said. Alex was really upset. He looked like he was going to cry. I think not going to school bothered him more than anything.
At least Alex got to go to school today. I didn’t talk to Dr. S until after we came back from school.
I feel like I’m having one of those days. Just as I’m about to leave to get Alex from school Kelly had a seizure. There wasn’t enough time to clean him up. He had blood all over his fur. This is just getting to be too much for me.
Anyways getting back to the mall. I bought Alex a prize since he was so upset. The turtle cycle and Kurt’s present is swing Donatello. Alex was really interested in Kurt’s present. He said Kurt will sure like that.
Then I picked up Kelly’s pills from Save On Foods. I was able to get the vet to increase the pills from 50 to 100. It was ridiculous before, 50 pills last hardly anytime at all.
We came home at seven thirty. Alex had a snack and got ready for bed. He was in bed by nine o’clock. I went to bed at ten thirty.
