Alex and I had a really good sleep. It sure was nice.
Breakfast came around eight o'clock. The nurse left us alone as Alex was just waking up. She left the medicine for me to give Alex.
We had breakfast and the nurse said the pass was all ready and she would get the medicine ready.
Charlie came around ten o'clock and we got Alex's medicine . We had to sign a form for Alex's day pass.
Alex didn't feel very good on the way home and I had to sit with him. We got home after eleven o'clock.
Alex wanted to play with his new toys. We all played with the airport and then we played with Alex's car track. The track came with a car and Alex already had one car that he got from Santa, so we all took turns playing with it.
Alex went to sleep in the afternoon. I was really tired too so we both fell asleep in our bed. I slept for about half an hour. Shirley phoned around two o'clock and said she would try and catch us at the hospital either today or tomorrow.
Charlie said Annie phoned but I was too tired to phone her. Anyways she phoned about an hour later. I told her exactly how things were going and she seem quite surprised. She said she was having a mass for Alex, which was really nice.
We had dinner at home.
We gave Alex his medicine throughout the day. It's a bit overwhelming but I guess we'll get use to it.
We went back to the hospital around eight o'clock. The hospital was really busy so we had to wait a long time for Alex's medicine.
Marla had been up and left Alex a view master and a sticker book. I felt bad that she had come all the way in.
I was so tired from sleeping at the hospital, I told Charlie he could sleep there this weekend. Alex was furious that I wouldn't sleep with him. He said I hate Pa I want you to sleep with me.
I sneaked out of the hospital and as I was leaving I heard Alex ask where's Mama going? Charlie told him I went to another room and Alex seemed okay after that.
I went home around ten o'clock. It sure was weird being in the house, there was no one there not even Kelly. He was at Mom and Dad's. It was so quiet in the house it was almost scary. I watched t.v. for awhile, then I started getting ready for bed. I went to bed around eleven o'clock. It took me awhile to fall asleep.
