Diagnosis: Leukemia; June 20, 1987

I woke up at nine o’clock, everyone else was asleep. I started making waffles for breakfast, it wasn’t long before everyone woke up.

Alex and I had breakfast, before we started the delivery truck came with the drywall. Charlie had to help carry in the drywall as there was only one guy. I thought it was pretty dumb since the drywall is pretty heavy. I don’t know how he would of done it if Charlie wasn’t home. I guess the guy thought Charlie would help him since they know each other.

I had a shower and got dressed. Charlie went to Lougheed mall. Alex and I played games while Charlie was gone.

I went out in the afternoon to look for a microwave shelf. I came back at four o’clock. Charlie had been working on the drywall and asked me to go buy a pizza. Before I left I helped Charlie lift up the drywall. I left around 4:30 p.m.

I came home at five o’clock and started to cook the pizza. We had dinner around 5:30 p.m. I rented a movie for Alex and after dinner he watched it. He fell asleep after six o’clock, I hadn’t given him his medicine yet so I’ll have to wake him up soon.

I woke Alex at 7:30 p.m., he sure was mad that I woke him up. I gave him his medicine and got him ready for bed. I put Alex in bed and he started to cry. He said but I haven’t helped Pa with the walls. I took Alex downstairs but he didn’t help Charlie he just watched.

Alex finally fell asleep at ten o’clock. I cleaned up the house and watched TV for awhile.
