I woke up at nine o’clock. Charlie was sleeping in Alex’s bed. Alex had come into bed again. Alex and Charlie woke up shortly after I had. Charlie went to put out the garbage.
We went to Consumers’ Distributing to buy a microwave stand. I went into the store while Charlie and Alex stayed in the car. Then we went to Save-on-Foods, Charlie went in and we stayed in the car.
We came home after twelve o’clock. Charlie started to assemble the microwave stand. Charlie worked on it from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. He had lunch in between. I made him a sandwich and tea. The stand is almost finished, it’ll be good to have the microwave on it.
I cleaned up the house. Alex was really cranky today. He complained about everything. I sure wish I knew what the matter was that he has been so cranky. The past few days he has argued about anything and everything. I phoned the hospital and got the results of Alex’s blood test from Friday. Alex fell asleep at 3:30 p.m.
I baked a birthday cake for Charlie. Alex asked me if we could have a cake for Pa’s birthday. I made icing and then heated up some leftovers.
At six o’clock I woke Alex up and asked him if he wanted dinner. He was cranky but once he was awake he was in a good mood.
We had dinner then I did the dishes. I iced the cake and then we went outside. Krisann said Alex could ride his bike since his platelet count was up. When we were outside Kurt came over. I told him to ask his mother if it was okay. Nora came over and asked if Kurt could come and play with Alex. I told her I asked Kurt to ask her if it was okay. I asked her if he had a cold. She said well he has tonsillitis and he has had a temperature today. I said Alex is not allowed to be in contact with people who have been sick. Kurt didn’t understand very well. Alex understood why Kurt couldn’t come over. I told Alex, Kurt had something wrong with his throat and it might make Alex sick.
I couldn’t believe she would let him outside when he’s sick, I had told her that Alex cannot come in contact with people who have colds, mumps, measles and chicken pox. People sure are funny.
We came into the house after eight o’clock. We had a snack and then Alex had a bath. Alex is still scared that he is going to hurt himself in the bathtub.
Alex played with his cars until ten thirty. I read him a couple of stories and he went to bed at 10:45 p.m.
I wrote in the journal off and on all night. I hadn’t written in it for a couple of days. I had a bit of catching up to do. I’ll go to bed soon , it’s 10:55 p.m.
