Diagnosis: Leukemia; June 21, 1987

I woke up at nine o’clock. Charlie had gone to sleep in Alex’s bed. Alex has started coming into our bed again.

Charlie was downstairs starting on the drywall. Alex woke up and took Charlie’s Father’s Day present to him. Alex said HAPPY FATHER’S DAY, Papa! It sure sounded cute.

I made waffles for breakfast and then we got ready to go out. We had a take out lunch from Burger King. Then we went to a number of stores about a microwave shelf. Most places seem quite expensive.

Then we went to Mom and Dad’s for dinner. We stayed until nine o’clock and we went home. I had given Alex his medicine before we left. He fell asleep on the way home.

I put Alex in his bed, I didn’t bother to change his clothes. He seemed quite cranky. He has been very cranky over the weekend. I don’t know what’s the matter with him. I don’t know if he’s frustrated by going to the hospital so much or if it’s medicine.

I went to bed at 10:30 p.m. I feel very tired.
